Tulachermet to halt largest furnace for March overhaul
Russian merchant pig iron producer Tulachermet, part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), is bringing forward the capital repairs of its largest blast furnace by around two weeks.
The halting for repairs of the 4,500 tonnes/day No.3 blast furnace, which produces around 70% of all Tulachermet's pig iron, was initially scheduled for mid-April to May. However, it will now be halted on 20-24 March for 25 days. Tulachermet will be running …
