Tulachermet starts overhaul of key blast furnace
Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH) subsidiary Tulachermet has begun a major overhaul of blast furnace No.3, Kallanish notes.
Specialists from four contractors, as well as 200 employees of the plant, are involved in the upgrade, which will take 45 days to complete.
BF3 is the largest at Tulachermet. The unit can produce about 4,500 tonnes/day of pig iron.
