Tulachermet ramps up production with new unit
Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH) subsidiary Tulachermet has completed commissioning work at a new air separation unit (ASU), Kallanish notes.
An ASU is needed to separate air into oxygen, nitrogen, argon and other components. The enrichment of the blast with oxygen makes it possible to intensify the process of iron smelting and thereby increase the productivity of the blast furnace, the enterprise claims.
