Tula ramps up May BPI volumes
Russian merchant pig iron producer Tulachermet, part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), has beaten its March 2019 pig iron output record by 13,000 tonnes in May.
Tulachermet produced 229,900t of pig iron in May, an all time high volume for operating on two blast furnaces, the company says. The plant undertook capital upgrade of its largest 4,500 tonnes/day No.3 blast furnace in April/May, (see Kallanish passim).
