TSLP reports loss despite output uptick
Tata Steel Long Products (TSLP) posted a standalone loss of INR 1,085.49 crore ($132.71 million) during the fiscal year ended 31 March 2023 (FY23), TSLP says in a media release seen by Kallanish.
Despite the rise in output and deliveries, the firm incurred losses on the back of increased costs and expenses. The firm’s total expenses, including costs of feedstock consumed, surged 50.75% on-year to INR 9,126.45 crore in FY23.
