Tsingshan gets mining licence in Zimbabwe
The Zimbabwean government has granted open-ended mining approval to Dinson Iron & Steel Company (Dinson or Disco), which is under the control of Chinese stainless steel giant Tsingshan Group.
This refers to the title deed for Dinson's ownership of the 12,270 hectares of land on which the steel plant is being built in Manhize, near Mvuma. The Zimbabwean government will charge Dinson with an annual inspection fee of $150 per five hectares, Kallanish notes.
