Trump administration seeks mineral independence
The US Interior Department has released a list of 35 minerals agency officials consider critical to the country’s economy and national security, Kallanish reports.
The 35 minerals will be the initial focus of a multi-agency strategy due on 16 August to implement President Donald Trump’s executive order to make the US less reliant on minerals from other countries, especially China.
