Troubled Country Garden faces liquidation petition
China’s troubled property developer Country Garden Group stated on Wednesday that it has received a winding-up petition dated 27 February filed by creditor Ever Credit Limited to the Hong Kong High Court, Kallanish notes.
The liquidation petition is for non-payment of HKD 1.6 billion ($204 million). The court has set the first hearing date for the petition as 17 May.
