Trinecke Zelezarny production falls, expects increased value-added sales

Trinecke Zelezarny (TZ) registered a -3% on-year decline in crude steel output in 2017 to 2.53 million tonnes due to the revamp of an oxygen converter. Wire rod sales reached 995,000t, accounting for 42.6% of overall shipments, while bar and profile sales totalled 574,000t. Exports accounted for 67% of output.
