Trinecke to complete coke battery modernisation by year-end
Trinecke Zelezarny (TZ) has begun the CZK 1.2 billion ($48.5 million) modernisation of its KB 11 coke battery, which is scheduled for recommissioning in December, Kallanish learns from the Czech steelmaker.
The revamp is expected to extend the unit’s operating life by 25 years. According to the schedule, the re-lining works should be completed in May, after which new technology will be installed. The second coke oven battery, KB 12, was modernised in 2011.…
