Tree Island earnings rise in first quarter
Canadian steel wire producer Tree Island Steel's earnings rose in the first quarter of 2021 from last year, Kallanish learns from the company's financial results.
In the quarter ending 31 March, Tree Island's earnings increased 13% in an on-year comparison, from $6.6 million on sales of $58m in 2020 to $12.6m on sales of $66.8m in the first quarter of 2021.
