Trasteel and Vanomet acquire Italian plate mill
Swiss trading companies Trasteel and Vanomet are completing the acquisition of Officine Tecnosider, an Italian plate rolling mill, located in the North-East of the country, Kallanish learns from sources.
Trasteel, a Lugano-based trading firm, was a minority shareholder of the mill for many years, but it is now taking over majority control of the plant. The mill has a capacity of almost 400,000 tonnes/year of plate, rolled from slab.
