Turkish rod exports fall sharply despite Libya/Mauritania demand
Turkish wire rod exports, which have been decreasing significantly since the beginning of the year, fell once again in March, by -44.7% on-year to 89,898 tonnes. They were also down -24.1% from February, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price fell to $457/tonne versus $498/t in March 2019 and $463/t in February 2020.
