Tough competition pressures Turkish merchant bar prices
Turkish merchant bar producers’ offers are seen diverging in a wide spread despite continuing price falls.
On Friday, most producers’ official export quotes were pegged at $650-670/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $660-680/t for IPN-UPN sections, $680-700/t for flat bars, and $660-680/t for IPE sections. However, lower prices are also available from some producers, depending on their production costs and aggressiveness.
