Total US imports up, finished imports drop

Total US imports ticked up slightly from May to June, but finished import tonnage dropped significantly, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Citing figures from the US Department of Commerce, the institute puts total steel import permit applications at 2.894 million short tons, 1.946m st of which was finished.
