Tongling Pacific completes coke oven upgrade
Tongling Pacific Special Materials Co. has begun to operate the second 7-metre 60-oven coke battery of its equipment upgrade project, following the commissioning of the first one in September.
The two coke batteries have 1.2 million tonnes/year of coke capacity in total, resulting in an increase of 300,000 t/y in the company’s net coke capacity, Kallanish notes. Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel and Daye Special Steel are the main consumers of the coke.
