Tokyo Steel second-quarter earnings rise, forecasts boosted
Japan’s Tokyo Steel reported rising revenue and profits for the June quarter on Friday. It also pushed up its expectations for the financial results of the first half of fiscal year 2024 (FY24), starting from April 2023.
In the June quarter, Tokyo Steel saw crude steel and finished steel output at 961,000 tonnes and 930,000t respectively, up 6.5% and 15.1% from the year-ago level, Kallanish notes.
