TMK Seversky increases quality with bloom caster upgrade
TMK’s Seversky pipe plant has successfully commissioned CONDRIVE oscillation systems from SMS at its five-strand bloom casting machine, the German technology supplier says.
The new system has been operating for more than six months, and for the first time ever on a resonance oscillation system of a bloom casting machine, SMS claims. It is designed for the production of round blooms in diameters of 150-400mm.
