TISCO contracts MCC20 for plate mill
China’s Taiyuan Iron & Steel Company (TISCO) signed a contract with China Metallurgical Corporation’s 20th subsidiary (MCC20) on Monday, which will focus on upgrading Taigang Stainless’s hot rolling mill to a 4,300mm carbon and stainless steel plate plant, Kallanish notes.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the upgrade was held as early as 30 January, and the company expects to commission it in June 2022.
