TISCO constructs plate mill
TISCO’s Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Company has begun construction of its 4,300mm carbon and stainless steel plate mill, Kallanish notes. SMS supplied the hot rolling mill.
By investing CNY 2.473 billion ($382.8 million), China’s TISCO expects the mill to increase its flat rolled capacity by 700,000 tonnes/year, including 400,000 t/y of carbon steel plate and 300,000 t/y of stainless steel plate (see Kallanish passim).
