Tianzhu Steel puts new blast furnace into operation
Tangshan-based Tianzhu Iron & Steel put its No.2 1,780-cubic-metre blast furnace into operation on 22 December, marking the completion of the first phase of its new ironmaking plant, Kallanish reports.
In August 2020, Tianzhu Steel began the construction of the plant in Haigang Economic Development Zone. Another identical BF is being constructed for a combined iron capacity of 3.04 million tonnes/year.
