Tianjin Rockcheck replaces blast furnace
Tianjin Rongcheng United Iron & Steel Group (Rockcheck) plans to build a blast furnace in Jinnan district of Tianjin city starting in August, Kallanish notes.
This 1,200 cubic-metre blast furnace will have 1.13 million tonnes/year of hot metal capacity. The commissioning will be in February 2022.
As the capacity quotas were gained from Rockcheck's own closed furnace, the steelmaker was allowed to commission as much capacity as it shut down.…
