Chinese steelmakers announce August maintenance plans
Three Chinese steelmakers have recently released their equipment maintenance plans to be carried out in August. Both pig iron and finished steel output will be affected, Kallanish notes.
Benxi Iron & Steel will start maintenance of one wire rod production line for about one month from 1 August, which is expected to affect daily output of 2,500 tonnes of wire rod.
