Third Fuqing nuclear unit to enter commercial operation
Unit 3 of the 1,087-megawatt-equivalent Fuqing nuclear power plant in China’s Fujian province has completed commissioning tests and will soon enter commercial operation, China National Nuclear Corp. (CNNC) said last week.
The loading of 157 fuel assemblies into the core of the pressurized water reactor (PWR) was completed in April. The unit was connected to the grid on 7 September, Kallanish Steel’s sister publication Kallanish Energy reports.
