Think tank says India unlikely to reach 2025 steel goal
New Delhi-based think tank, the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), says that, under current conditions, India is unlikely to meet its goal of 300 million tonnes of crude steel production by 2025. The council’s research study “The Indian Steel Industry: Key Reforms for a Brighter Future” was launched in the Indian capital on 6 October.
