UK, Russia supply lifts Turkey’s January scrap imports

Turkish scrap imports continued to rise in January, by 18% on-year to 2 million tonnes. They were, however, down from 2.33mt in December, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Almost 95%, or 1.9mt, of the January imports were obsolete scrap.
