Tharisa reduces chrome production, resumes partial operation
Cyprus-headquartered Tharisa saw metallurgical-grade chrome concentrate production at its South African operations fall -10.5% on-quarter in the second fiscal quarter through March to 233,600 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
The firm received government permission to resume chrome concentrate production at a reduced rate from 6 April after initially suspending operations following the South African lockdown against Covid-19.
