Tharisa foresees higher chrome output this fiscal
Cyprus-headquartered Tharisa is guiding for a chrome concentrate production in the fiscal year through September 2021 (FY21) of 1.45-1.55 million tonnes.
The firm’s metallurgical-grade chrome concentrate production at its South African operations rose 10% on-year in the fourth fiscal quarter through September 2020 to 277,600t. The metallurgical-grade chrome concentrate contract price was down to $142/tonne cif China from $148/t cif a year earlier.
