Thailand exempts six firms from import duties
Thailand has exempted six steel importers from safeguard duties charged on alloy steel hot rolled coils. The move comes as Thailand attempts to combat the flood of material arriving from major East Asian producers while still acknowledging that its own demand outstrips what it can produce, Kallanish notes.
