Ternium to hike scrap use in Brazilian production

Latin American steelmaker Ternium is anticipating increased scrap use for slab production at its Brazil-based Santa Cruz unit, the company tells Kallanish. The project includes the expansion of the scrap yard and other improvements in the structure to optimise the production process. The steel mill's monthly storage capacity for scrap is 35,000 tonnes.
