Ternium starts construction of new slab mill in December
Latin American steel producer Ternium says it will begin the construction of a new electric arc furnace-based mill and a direct reduced iron unit in Mexico in December, Kallanish learns from the company.
The steelmaker chose to move forward with the project in Nuevo León instead of the US state of Texas, taking advantage of the company's existing downstream facilities in the Pesquería Industrial Center.
