Tenova supplies DR plant, EAF to Ternium Mexico
Italian technology supplier Tenova tells Kallanish it has signed a contract with Ternium to supply a direct reduction plant, an electric arc furnace, and two ladle furnaces.
The investment is part of the company’s new slab mill. The largest project for the steelmaker is set to be the most modern in the Americas and accelerate Ternium’s progress towards achieving its 2030 decarbonisation target.
