Tata Tinplate profit dips in latest fiscal year
Tata Steel India’s packaging arm, The Tinplate Company of India Limited (TCIL), saw its profit fall year-on-year in the fourth quarter of its 2018-2019 financial year ending 31 March 2019, Kallanish notes. A surge in sales over the full fiscal could not prevent a similar fall in profit over the full year as the cost of materials consumed exploded y-o-y.
