Tata subsidiary moves towards chromite mine acquisition
The Odisha state government has issued Tata Steel subsidiary T S Alloys Limited with a Letter of Intent for the granting of a mining lease for the Saruabil block for chromite ore.
Tata Steel participated in the e-auction process for the chromite mine, currently held by M/s Misrilall Mines Private Limited. Tata will now be granted the mining lease for 50 years, subject to fulfilment of certain conditions.
