Tata signals rail contract extension with SNCF
Tata Steel tells Kallanish that it has secured another major rail deal. The steelmaker’s Long Products Europe business will continue to supply French rail operator SNCF for at least five more years after a new deal was signed, Tata says in a release.
The steel will be supplied from the company’s rail mill in Hayange, north-eastern France. Tata, and its predecessor Corus, have been SNCF’s main rail supplier since 1999. The contract renewal will …
