Tangshan steelmakers implement 2019 winter restrictions
The Tangshan local government released a steelmaking restriction plan on 12 December with three phases to be implemented during the month, Kallanish notes.
The first phase began as from 13 December and has in place until pollution alerts were lifted on Tuesday. Guoyi Special Steel must restrict production by an additional 20% on the previous level. This requires it to halt production from two sintering machines and one blast furnace.
