Tangshan government reveals capacity reduction plans for 2020
The Tangshan local government held a meeting on 13 January about controlling pollution in the city. During the meeting, it announced several targets for reducing capacity in 2020, Kallanish notes.
The government will continue to eliminate blast furnaces of up to 450-cubic-metre capacity and converters of up to 40-tonne. It will also make Jianlong Steel and Ganglu Steel dismantle coking ovens of up to 4.3 metres.
