Tangshan continues steelmaking restrictions into August
The Tangshan government has published its new air pollution management rules for August. It says facilities do not need to alternate production as long as the permitted companies obey low emissions limits. It is also categorising steelmakers into groups, prioritising coastal steelworks for example.
The restrictions appear to be less strict than in July, suggesting stronger steel output, Kallanish notes.
