Taiyuan to close large coking capacity
The Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ecological Environment Bureau have jointly ordered the closure of nine coking companies by the end of October. This involves about 9.6 million tonnes/year coking capacity, Kallanish notes.
The height of the carbonisation chambers at these coking companies is 4.3 meters or less.
