Taiwan’s Yusco, Tang Eng hike stainless steel prices
Taiwan’s leading stainless steel mills, Yieh United Steel (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works, have decided to raise steel prices for April orders, mainly to reflect raw material costs, Kallanish notes.
Both companies have raised prices of 304 stainless steel and 316L products each by TWD 12,000/tonne ($418/t). Meanwhile, the surcharge for Yusco’s 430 stainless steel is up by TWD 5,000/t.
