Taiwan’s steel trade value climbs in October
Entering the first month of the fourth quarter, Taiwan’s steel trade started to recover a little month-on-month, but still remained lower on a year-on-year basis due to sluggish global demand, Kallanish notes.
Monthly exports iron and steel products by value totalled $1.69 billion, up 15.1% m-o-m but down 30.2% y-o-y. Ten-month exports thus grew 11.1% y-o-y to $19.64 billion, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance.
