Taiwan’s steel exports slip to 29-month low
In July this year, Taiwan’s steel exports and imports by value dived further on a month-on-month basis. Monthly and year-to-date volume also all decreased on a year-on-year basis, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
July’s exports of iron and steel by value hit a 29-month low at below $1.43 billion, down 1.3% over June and 33% on-year, Kallanish notes. Seven-month exports shrank 28.5% from the year-ago level to $10.46 billion.
