Taiwan’s steel export value dives to 31-month low
Taiwan’s steel exports by value dived in September to their lowest level in the past 31 months, while imports remained stable at recent highs, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
Monthly exports of Taiwanese iron and steel by value lost 12.2% on-month and 11.9% on-year to nearly $1.3 billion, taking nine-month exports to $13.24 billion with an on-year loss of 26.2%, Kallanish notes.
