Taiwan’s cross-border steel trade drops in 2023
In the calendar year 2023, Taiwan saw an on-year loss in both steel exports and imports, according to the statistics issued by the Ministry of Finance, Taiwan.
December exports by value continued to climb from a low level to $1.35 billion, but were still 5.9% lower year-on-year. This took annual exports to $17.1 billion, slumping 24.4% from the previous year, Kallanish notes.
