Taiwan’s CSC sees profit surge in September
Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) saw its September profit surge compared with the prior month due to improving margins, despite monthly turnover and carbon steel sales sliding, according to the company’s monthly report.
The enterprise sold 700,675 tonnes of carbon steel in the reporting month, down just 0.7% on the previous month, Kallanish notes. Year-to-date however, sales declined 11.5% year-on-year at over 5.87 million t.
