Taiwan’s CSC posts lower semi-annual steel sales
Taiwan-based China Steel Corporation (CSC) posted 806,091 tonnes of steel sales in June, down 1.99% on-month. Its first-half-year sales were 4.92 million tonnes, a drop of 2.55% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
June operating revenue fell but the company saw operating profit increase. These were down 2.25% on-month from a record high of TWD 39.7 billion ($1.42 billion) in May and up 7% to TWD 7.88 billion respectively.
