Taiwan’s April steel imports jump
Taiwan’s April iron and steel import value rose sharply, catching up with recent strong growth in exports, Kallanish notes.
April exports were stable compared to March at $2.1 billion, and soared 32.8% y-o-y. This took the year-to-date cumulative value to $8.26 billion, surging 39.3% from a year earlier, according to preliminary data released by the Ministry of Finance.
