Taiwanese scrap softens further
Taiwanese container scrap import prices softened further in the past week, Kallanish notes. The market is unlikely to improve soon, trading source say.
Mills in Taiwan booked container HMS 1&2 80:20 from the US at $275/tonne cfr on Tuesday, Taiwanese trading sources report. Last week, deals took place at $278-280/t cfr. US-origin container HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap was assessed by Kallanish on Wednesday at $275/t cfr Taiwan, down $4/t on-week.
