Taiwanese scrap prices continue to increase

Taiwanese scrap supply remains low during the off-peak season, but traders' offer prices are firm. HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West Coast was offered at around $245-248/tonne cfr Taiwan, up $5-10/t week-on-week. For steel mills with limited power supply, the price has exceeded expectations.
