Taiwanese scrap market falls on slow rebar sales
The Taiwanese container scrap market has weakened this week as rebar sales have slowed, Kallanish notes.
Offers for HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West Coast have come under more pressure from buyers this week, a trader says. As buying interest slows down, U.S scrap offer prices declined by $10/tonne from last week's $250/t cfr Taiwan. Even so, there have been limited enquiries, the trader adds.
